    Description

Residue of Rabbit fur on top of head, down either side of the face, and around the perimeter of the head. The black and white base appears to be spun wool wrapped around a base. The sides are black wool. ...................An issue has been pointed out to me by a informed collector: the bottom of this kachina is the the top of another kachina turned upside down., Kopopolo (See google). He believes someone has joined them. It is odd, indeed, as the top and bottom seemed to be carved from the same piece of wood. Who would have done this and why? Is this a valid variation? I would appreciate any thoughts you may have in this matter.
